East Rocky Asset Management is a specialist biotechnology investment manager focused on identifying mispriced companies developing breakthrough medicines. The firm applies deep scientific and clinical research to assess opportunities across the biotechnology sector, with particular expertise in oncology and neurodegenerative diseases.
Our Story
The firm is led by founder and portfolio manager Dr Tom Tang, who combines scientific training and postgraduate research experience with more than 17 years of biotechnology investment experience. Tom holds a PhD in neuroscience and completed postdoctoral neuroscience research at Yale University before building his investment career specialising in healthcare and biotechnology.
Tom founded East Rocky in 2022, having previously founded and managed Moose Hill Capital from 2016. Across both firms, he has applied a consistent bottom-up, science-based investment approach focused on understanding disease biology, therapeutic mechanisms, clinical data and commercial potential.
